Policies
Licensing
The Preschool is licensed by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services and conforms to all state laws and regulations pertaining to the operation of child day care centers. The school welcomes children of all races, colors, nationalities, languages and religious origins.
Cumulative Records
Administration will maintain all records as provided by law. Student records are confidential and therefore open only to the child’s teacher, the school director, an authorized employee of the licensing agency, or the child’s parent or legal guardian. Parent-Teacher conferences will be held twice a year and whenever needed or required.
Discipline Policy
The goal at our center is to help children develop a positive self-image. We hope to encourage children to be self-directed and to exhibit self-control. In order to do this, children need the opportunity to build self-esteem. Therefore, such practices that will humiliate or shame a child will not be used. Young children, due to their developmental age, are not capable of understanding the ramifications of many of their behaviors. Therefore, they need to be encouraged to make good choices and to be prevented from harming themselves and/or others.
