Children 4 – 6 years old may attend either a half day or full day program. The classroom has many centers’ allowing for independent choice. Through the use of multi sensorial activities located in these areas, we cultivate critical thinking and problem solving skills needed for success in literacy, math, science, and art. For example in our Math center, materials used in counting, sorting, and patterning, help children develop foundational math skills as well as an appreciation for numbers . These centers paired with small groups activities help build on social and cognitive skills, all while having fun! Once a week your child’s mind for science will become stronger through hands on experiments where they learn to predict results, test ideas, and formulate conclusions. At this time your child will be immersed in a complete phonics learning program. With both teachers being certified, individual attention is key in teaching foundations of reading and achieving success.
