Children 2.6 to 3.3 years may attend either two or three mornings a week. This will be your child’s first school experience and we realize the importance of feeling secure in a new environment. Our experienced teachers will nurture and care for your child in a gentle and loving manner, while focusing on their individual needs.
Our curriculum is designed to teach children important learning skills through play by visiting different areas of the room such as housekeeping, dress-up, library, building, and art. Equipment for the room is chosen with specific developmental goals in mind and is continuously changed to provide interest. Teachers focus on social skills by providing experiences in which children can interact with their peers. Teachers will also focus on children to be successful by establishing routines. Through these routines, children learn language skills, co-operation, sharing, taking turns, and most of all working in a group.
During this year they will discover something new each day and it is our goal to nurture this natural curiosity and wonder within a safe environment.
